It is like going home that is so familiar. For many years it was my dream to learn how to freedive. Yeah, I knew how to go underwater, but I didn't know how to do this right actually. So the 2 hour lesson at Nusa Dua Freedive School that I had with Heiko was really useful for me. It gave me introduction into the world of freedivers. During the whole lesson it was easy and very interesting to obtain information. Illustrative examples of my teacher made it easier to learn and to understand what to do in this or that cases.
I want to express my gratitude to my instructor Heiko Franken. Thanks to you now I know what I have to do to dive very deep. How to inhale and exhale. And what I don't have to do. Thank you for your support. And thank you for letting me dive for 14 meters. It was very pleasant and important for me to hear that I'm so natural in water. I spend almost 3 weeks to complete the funniest, intense and craziest Instructor course ever! I had the chance to do it with Kirill :) and I had 2 others unforgettable buddies ( Lin and Vera).

We start as colleague and we finished the course as a family ! Thank you for everything !

Location: The set up at Freedive Nusa is just perfect. Open rooms, clean equipments, swimming pool. The location is excellent for all the lazy person like me, just across the road from the sea (less than 1min).
Hotel and restaurant: nearby (in 4 minutes you are at Penida Colada the best spot ever to eat and read your course)
Course: Instructor extremely professional and knowledgeable about Freediving. Theory and practice are done in a logical manner. The teaching ambiance is just Unique !
Bonus: After each Open-water session, you have the chance to end the session with time to dive on the house reef which is just magical. I see 2 turtle and incredible marine life there. The color are beautiful.

BONUS2: They organize TRIPS around Bali at Raj Ampat, Komodo and more !

My instructor, Tim, was really encouraging and easy-going, but I could learn a lot from his as well.
I would definitely recommend to beginners and more advanced freedivers too. read less
