I'd actually done this certification before at a world renowned school in Central America but I decided to do it again as I have issues with equalisation. I got so much more out of this course taught by our amazing instructor Heiko. We got two full days of training in which we covered so much including 4 practical sessions, 2 in the pool and 2 in the open water. I loved getting to practice things I was never shown on my first course, like a static breath hold and an introduction to the dynamic discipline. Heiko was extremely knowledgable, patient and supportive. I really felt like we each got such a tailored training. He treated us each as individuals and adjusted the training to our needs and abilities. It really helped us get the most out of every dive and have the best experience. Freedive Nusa made me feel at ease and worked within my limited walking ability due to serious injury and this made the experience even more amazing. Freedive Nusa is perfectly located and use fantastic, helpful boat drivers and provide a fantastic trip to snorkel with mantas as well :) I will be back for sure! Highly recommend read less

It is like going home that is so familiar. For many years it was my dream to learn how to freedive. Yeah, I knew how to go underwater, but I didn't know how to do this right actually. So the 2 hour lesson at Nusa Dua Freedive School that I had with Heiko was really useful for me. It gave me introduction into the world of freedivers. During the whole lesson it was easy and very interesting to obtain information. Illustrative examples of my teacher made it easier to learn and to understand what to do in this or that cases.
I want to express my gratitude to my instructor Heiko Franken. Thanks to you now I know what I have to do to dive very deep. How to inhale and exhale. And what I don't have to do. Thank you for your support. And thank you for letting me dive for 14 meters. It was very pleasant and important for me to hear that I'm so natural in water. The instructors really want you to be successful and give a lot of helpful advice that I wasn’t able to get in on own. I definitely will be returning to Freedive Nusa when back on Nusa Penida to continue to improve my technique read less

The moment I saw our friends freediving happily, I knew I wanted to feel as calm and free under water, as they did.
So I took the course and I am more than happy. Now I can hold my breath without panic nor discomfort, whilst studying the wonderful underwater world. And I've never been so relaxed and happy in the water before.
My gratitude to the instructors is immeasurable. That was a breathtaking experience. I felt confident and safe during the whole process.
School is well equipped and cosy, situated close to the beach and nice cafes for the lunch break. There's a plenty of accomodation options around.
Not to mention the surroundings are truly beautiful. Home reef with a huge variety of fishes, turtles and other creatures. Endless opportunities to explore the deep blue. read less

We did a bit of dry practicing and then open-water dive after which I got my answers. I was guided by Kirill who is knowledgeable and quickly understands the reasons of the issue. On returning back we did some analysis and I got recommendations and exercises. That was a really professional approach so I recommend anybody to do training with these guys. Am amazed by the level of expertise this school maintains and how they cater to the specific needs of every participant. my instructor was Artur who was extremely professional yet personal troughout the course and he really focussed on the parts I needed training in. Kirill kennt die besten Spots auf der ganzen Insel und die Schule ist nur wenige Schritte vom Meer entfernt. Der Unterricht ist auch super, alles wird verständlich und nachvollziehbar erklärt und gezeigt.

Auf jeden Fall eine Erfahrung, die man nicht verpassen sollte! read less
