Our instructor Arthur is a really cool, young guy. All of the freediving instructors are also yoga instructors and seem friendly. The facilities are nice - even tho the pool was under construction which would’ve been nice to mention beforehand.
The course was super interesting you learn about relaxation and breathing techniques as well as safety rules. Nusa is a really nice island by the way - we were a little bit unlucky because since we came in rainy season there was a lot of plastic swimming around (which is obviously not the companies fault) but otherwise it’s a nice place to learn freediving.
In general my freediving course was more difficult than for example my scuba diving course - while failing your scuba diving course is not really common failing your freediving course can happen so you might want to plan 1 day extra just in case you don’t pass in the 2 days of training (happend to a woman in our group).
We also attended a manta Ray trip the day after and I really recommend it. We saw many mantas and they came so close, I had to move out of the way because I didn’t want to touch them. A really unique experience! The group was cool - a mix between real professionals and total newbies.
All in all we really enjoyed our time there and recommend the place :) read less

It was an unbelievable experience I think about everyday. Kirill was an inspiring teacher, his teaching methods, calm, safe and poised personality and the fact that he really loves freediving made learning freediving easy and so fun.

My experience at Freedive Nusa has opened a door to a deeper love and appreciation of the ocean and our connection to it. Extending beyond freediving to pranayama, more confidence in my surfing, yoga and power of the mind. This course is for anyone who wants to learn more about themselves and the human body. Set in the beautiful tropical paradise of Nusa Penida, the school's location is perfect for diving. (And relaxing before, during and afterwards)

The team at Freedive Nusa is professional, caring, and nurturing. They made me feel supported from day one, helping me gain confidence and improve my skills with their expert guidance and personalized feedback.

Diving in the crystal-clear waters surrounded by vibrant marine life was incredible. The combination of top-notch training and the stunning environment made my time at Freedive Nusa unforgettable. If you want to learn or advance your freediving in a gorgeous setting, this is the place to go.

Leaving today will be tough, but I know where I will return if I am back in this area, for further training, courses or fun dives.

More than just a school, we really felt like we found a small family on Nusa Penida. Kirill, Artur, Emily and Heiko are great and welcoming people, and create an awesome atmosphere at Freedive Nusa, which just makes you want to hang out, and gravitate around the school. In addition to that, they also are amazing and experienced instructors, which made us perform beyond our expectations, without it ever feeling unsafe, pushed, or rushed. They were very responsive and helpful even though there was a high chance that I might not have taken up the course.

I am glad I did. Heiko was very patient and helpful. He was very willing to share his knowledge and tons of experience. He explains the physiology and concepts using pictures and demonstrations so it is easier to understand.

I felt very safe and relaxed with him as an instructor in the open water hence I was able to focus fully on learning. He has helped me achieved all the objectives I set on the first day before I started the course.

Not forgetting Artur who was so kind to offer me a ride to the harbour for the manta trip in the early morning. He was the level 2 instructor to other students.

The instructors were amazing. I had a wonderful experience with the school and would highly recommend them if anyone wants to learn freediving. read less
