I did Level 1 and I had so much fun. Was my first time ever doing freedive. I was super nervous because i have no idea about freedive. But the teaching by Kirill, the owner and instructor, was informative, engaging and fun. I think the most important thing is that all of the sessions with him in the water was super safe and professional. I feel ready and safe 100% all the time when we practice together in the deep ocean (even with Nusa Penida infamous strong current) since day 1. Absolutely no pressure to go deep or make me do anything i'm not ready for. At the same time, my abilities were gently extended and I definitely grew more confidence in the water than before. So go to Nusa Penida and do the freedive course with them! Easy access from Bali island, it is your best option other than taking any freedive course in Gili nor Amed. The island itself is simply chillax, not super touristy like other destinations. Highly recommended! Find out what freediving is all about with Kirill - Freedive Nusa. You won't regret it.

It was a great experience. My instructor Kiril clearly has extensive experience in both the practice and teaching of free diving. While teaching the basics, Kiril gave me deep appreciation of how my practices of yoga and meditation can converge in helping my body and mind to be calm, relaxed, and agile in free diving. I always felt very safe and well guided, despite of variable weather and water conditions throughout the course exercises in the ocean. My recent Manta Trip with Freedive Nusa was nothing short of amazing. The trip itself was a dream come true. We were fortunate enough to see over 20 mantas, and it was truly a mesmerizing sight. Our guide, Ray, was exceptional - knowledgeable, friendly, and passionate about what he does. The equipment provided was top-notch, and the freedive center itself was stunning. Our instructor Arthur is a really cool, young guy. All of the freediving instructors are also yoga instructors and seem friendly. The facilities are nice - even tho the pool was under construction which would’ve been nice to mention beforehand.
The course was super interesting you learn about relaxation and breathing techniques as well as safety rules. Nusa is a really nice island by the way - we were a little bit unlucky because since we came in rainy season there was a lot of plastic swimming around (which is obviously not the companies fault) but otherwise it’s a nice place to learn freediving.
In general my freediving course was more difficult than for example my scuba diving course - while failing your scuba diving course is not really common failing your freediving course can happen so you might want to plan 1 day extra just in case you don’t pass in the 2 days of training (happend to a woman in our group).
We also attended a manta Ray trip the day after and I really recommend it. We saw many mantas and they came so close, I had to move out of the way because I didn’t want to touch them. A really unique experience! The group was cool - a mix between real professionals and total newbies.
All in all we really enjoyed our time there and recommend the place :) read less

I decided to join to the course because of... read moreAbsolutly incredible experience for me! It was my first time diving. I decided to join to the course because of surfing - you need to hold breath and keep calm under water. But the course opened for me new world that you could see in National Geographic. Especially for the first experiense you need a good teacher for getting knowledge and support all the time. We had the best one! The group was small (only 4 persons) and it's the best way to to get new skill and practise over the control of the couch.
And of cause during diving you work with your body control, with your mental problems or fears. Diving for me became one of the way to understand yourself and your body.

He was so kind, patient and encouraging. Nothing was a problem. I now feel far more confident underwater. I honestly didn’t think I would be able to do it. But with Artur’s support, the impossible was attainable. It was such a great experience with 4 open water sessions included. The water is crystal clear with visibility around 30m. Plenty of fish and coral to see in the snorkel sessions at the end of the day. Emily is a really helpful instructor who gave plenty of constructive feedback during all of the course. She is also very friendly and approachable.
I Can’t recommend this freediving school highly enough and would love to come back to do further courses in the future.

Set in the beautiful tropical paradise of Nusa Penida, the school's location is perfect for diving. (And relaxing before, during and afterwards)

The team at Freedive Nusa is professional, caring, and nurturing. They made me feel supported from day one, helping me gain confidence and improve my skills with their expert guidance and personalized feedback.

Diving in the crystal-clear waters surrounded by vibrant marine life was incredible. The combination of top-notch training and the stunning environment made my time at Freedive Nusa unforgettable. If you want to learn or advance your freediving in a gorgeous setting, this is the place to go.
