I had taken a free diving course nearly 5 years prior and decided to refresh my skills. The shop gave me a great rate for a private course with Yana and the experience exceeded all of my expectations. She was able to quickly determine my knowledge and skill level and tailored my education to maximize learning. She was able to break down very complicated subjects (physiology, Frenzel, etc) in an easy-to-understand way. She seemed to know my limits better than I knew myself - she (safely) pushed me both in the pool and open water sessions to new PRs. I loved the breathing exercises and yoga before the water sessions; I felt totally relaxed and ready to perform at my best. Although I worked specifically with Yana, I observed several of the other instructors and they were all clearly passionate about freediving and took very good care of their students. Absolutely loved using the freediving skills I just learned to snorkel the reef after our sessions. Overall, I left the class not only with new skills but a new outlook on how to enjoy the ocean. Most importantly, I always felt safe which is a big mental barrier for novices like myself. The shop was professional and perfectly located. Highly recommend the offered photo session at the end of the class - I loved the photos! Not that numbers matter but I was able to comfortably reach 20m by the end of the class which was a personal goal I had set. read less

I want to thank for the bottom of my heart All the team FreediveNusa for the amazing experience and knowledge I received.
I spend almost 3 weeks to complete the funniest, intense and craziest Instructor course ever! I had the chance to do it with Kirill :) and I had 2 others unforgettable buddies ( Lin and Vera).

We start as colleague and we finished the course as a family ! Thank you for everything !

Location: The set up at Freedive Nusa is just perfect. Open rooms, clean equipments, swimming pool. The location is excellent for all the lazy person like me, just across the road from the sea (less than 1min).
Hotel and restaurant: nearby (in 4 minutes you are at Penida Colada the best spot ever to eat and read your course)
Course: Instructor extremely professional and knowledgeable about Freediving. Theory and practice are done in a logical manner. The teaching ambiance is just Unique !
Bonus: After each Open-water session, you have the chance to end the session with time to dive on the house reef which is just magical. I see 2 turtle and incredible marine life there. The color are beautiful.

BONUS2: They organize TRIPS around Bali at Raj Ampat, Komodo and more !

After some asking around and research, I came across Freedive Nusa and became confident that my son will be in good hands here. Kirill and Yana are very supportive in their teaching and their enthusiasm is contagious. My son enjoyed his 3 day course, developed his skills and now can’t wait to go back freediving. read less

Our instructor Arthur is a really cool, young guy. All of the freediving instructors are also yoga instructors and seem friendly. The facilities are nice - even tho the pool was under construction which would’ve been nice to mention beforehand.
The course was super interesting you learn about relaxation and breathing techniques as well as safety rules. Nusa is a really nice island by the way - we were a little bit unlucky because since we came in rainy season there was a lot of plastic swimming around (which is obviously not the companies fault) but otherwise it’s a nice place to learn freediving.
In general my freediving course was more difficult than for example my scuba diving course - while failing your scuba diving course is not really common failing your freediving course can happen so you might want to plan 1 day extra just in case you don’t pass in the 2 days of training (happend to a woman in our group).
We also attended a manta Ray trip the day after and I really recommend it. We saw many mantas and they came so close, I had to move out of the way because I didn’t want to touch them. A really unique experience! The group was cool - a mix between real professionals and total newbies.
All in all we really enjoyed our time there and recommend the place :) read less
