My 13 year old son and I did the SSI Level I Freediving course with Freedive Nusa, and the team... read moreMy 13 year old son and I did the SSI Level I Freediving course with Freedive Nusa, and the team was as professional as I’ve seen. Our instructor, Heiko, and Arthur (who joined to help in some of the ocean sessions) knew their stuff and upheld the highest of standards throughout. I felt extremely comfortable leaving my son in their hands. Heiko taught us the ins and outs of freediving and balanced it with a lot of practical sessions in the ocean (that was right across the street).
Nusa Penida’s tourism has only recently picked up and consequently it has that perfect balance of just the right amount of infrastructure (restaurants, hotels/homestays, scooter rentals, etc) without all the unfortunate destruction that tourism often brings. We saw some of the most beautiful, untouched coral reefs that I’ve seen around the world.
I highly recommend anyone that’s comfortable in the water to take a couple of days to take “the next step in”, or at least join them on a day trip. Good, good stuff! read less

It was simply stunning. Probably THE best week I had in a long time!
Kirill and Jan are both amazing instructors and I easily learned how to equalize better and really enjoyed the line training we had in the mornings of the first days! Started to really love freediving and will definitely do my certification while I am in Indonesia
We started the days with meditation/yoga and breathing exercises - many thanks to Kirill for that!

Everything was well organized and planned: from flights and hotels/homestays, special food requests and healthy breakfast options to day trips and fun diving adventures! Thank you Jan for all your magic you did in the background!

And the underwater world of Raja Ampat is simply stunning - often you could just dive off the beach/jetty of your homestay and see beautiful coral and so many fish. At one homestay we had sharks swimming by the common area my favorite was definitely seeing a Manta for the first time in my life at a dive site called Manta Sandy and thrifting along the stunning Cape Kri.

All in all, thanks to the beautiful nature, the great training and other inspiring guests it was definitely a week I will remember! read less

It was an unbelievable experience I think about everyday. Kirill was an inspiring teacher, his teaching methods, calm, safe and poised personality and the fact that he really loves freediving made learning freediving easy and so fun.

My experience at Freedive Nusa has opened a door to a deeper love and appreciation of the ocean and our connection to it. Extending beyond freediving to pranayama, more confidence in my surfing, yoga and power of the mind. This course is for anyone who wants to learn more about themselves and the human body. He was so kind, patient and encouraging. Nothing was a problem. I now feel far more confident underwater. I honestly didn’t think I would be able to do it. But with Artur’s support, the impossible was attainable. Friendly atmosphere, a lot of care about your health such as: hot ginger tea after each session in the ocean, rinse your nose, inhalation, breath work and etc. A lot of my friends already completed the course and recommended to me. And I having exclusively positive emotions and didn't regret about the decision. I do surfing and the knowledge what I get is really open my eyes! I was trained by incredible instructor Yana, with her I did my first 20m in my life without experience before! Absolutely recommend this freediving school! read less
