It is like going home that is so familiar. For many years it was my dream to learn how to freedive. Yeah, I knew how to go underwater, but I didn't know how to do this right actually. So the 2 hour lesson at Nusa Dua Freedive School that I had with Heiko was really useful for me. It gave me introduction into the world of freedivers. During the whole lesson it was easy and very interesting to obtain information. Illustrative examples of my teacher made it easier to learn and to understand what to do in this or that cases.
I want to express my gratitude to my instructor Heiko Franken. Thanks to you now I know what I have to do to dive very deep. How to inhale and exhale. And what I don't have to do. Thank you for your support. And thank you for letting me dive for 14 meters. It was very pleasant and important for me to hear that I'm so natural in water. I had taken a free diving course nearly 5 years prior and decided to refresh my skills. The shop gave me a great rate for a private course with Yana and the experience exceeded all of my expectations. She was able to quickly determine my knowledge and skill level and tailored my education to maximize learning. She was able to break down very complicated subjects (physiology, Frenzel, etc) in an easy-to-understand way. She seemed to know my limits better than I knew myself - she (safely) pushed me both in the pool and open water sessions to new PRs. I loved the breathing exercises and yoga before the water sessions; I felt totally relaxed and ready to perform at my best. Although I worked specifically with Yana, I observed several of the other instructors and they were all clearly passionate about freediving and took very good care of their students. Absolutely loved using the freediving skills I just learned to snorkel the reef after our sessions. Overall, I left the class not only with new skills but a new outlook on how to enjoy the ocean. Most importantly, I always felt safe which is a big mental barrier for novices like myself. The shop was professional and perfectly located. Highly recommend the offered photo session at the end of the class - I loved the photos! Not that numbers matter but I was able to comfortably reach 20m by the end of the class which was a personal goal I had set. read less

Having little to none freediving experience, me and my wife feel very fortunate to have come accross Freedive Nusa, where... read moreHaving little to none freediving experience, me and my wife feel very fortunate to have come accross Freedive Nusa, where Artur, our instructor, took us through Level 1 course. Artur was very knowledgeable, accommodating (as my wife was experiencing equalisation issues) and professional. As a result, we both significantly improved our freediving skills and learned lots of new very useful tricks and routines. It was great pleasure for everyone in the course spending couple of days together with Artur.
I can highly recommend Artur and Freedive Nusa team to anyone from beginners to experienced freedivers. Will definitely be back for Level 2!

I decided to join to the course because of... read moreAbsolutly incredible experience for me! It was my first time diving. I decided to join to the course because of surfing - you need to hold breath and keep calm under water. But the course opened for me new world that you could see in National Geographic. Especially for the first experiense you need a good teacher for getting knowledge and support all the time. We had the best one! The group was small (only 4 persons) and it's the best way to to get new skill and practise over the control of the couch.
And of cause during diving you work with your body control, with your mental problems or fears. Diving for me became one of the way to understand yourself and your body.

I want to thank for the bottom of my heart All the team FreediveNusa for the amazing experience and knowledge I received.
I spend almost 3 weeks to complete the funniest, intense and craziest Instructor course ever! I had the chance to do it with Kirill :) and I had 2 others unforgettable buddies ( Lin and Vera).

We start as colleague and we finished the course as a family ! Thank you for everything !

Location: The set up at Freedive Nusa is just perfect. Open rooms, clean equipments, swimming pool. The location is excellent for all the lazy person like me, just across the road from the sea (less than 1min).
Hotel and restaurant: nearby (in 4 minutes you are at Penida Colada the best spot ever to eat and read your course)
Course: Instructor extremely professional and knowledgeable about Freediving. Theory and practice are done in a logical manner. The teaching ambiance is just Unique !
Bonus: After each Open-water session, you have the chance to end the session with time to dive on the house reef which is just magical. I see 2 turtle and incredible marine life there. The color are beautiful.

BONUS2: They organize TRIPS around Bali at Raj Ampat, Komodo and more !

Moving in water is... read moreI have always been an active person and loved exploring different styles of movement on land. Moving in water is somewhat an unfamiliar territory to me. So, I was both anxious and excited on Day 1. Under Kirill's expert guidance, I learn to let go and be one with the water element. Freediving opened up a whole new way of moving, of connecting with the breath (or the lack of), of surrendering to the present moment. I am forever grateful for Kirill for paving the path to this wonderful underwater experience. read less
