Atauro’s waters are home to over 300 species of coral and an abundance of marine life. The island’s reefs are teeming with life, offering stunning visuals for freedivers of all levels.
Timor Leste is not just about its underwater beauty; it’s also rich in culture and history. You’ll have the opportunity to explore the capital city, Dili, visit local markets, and learn about the country’s unique cultural heritage. Atauro Island itself is home to traditional fishing communities, where life moves at a slower pace, and the connection to the ocean is deeply rooted in daily life.

No, you don't need to be a freediver but this experience will be definitely beneficial. If you don't have an experience we highly recommend to come to Nusa Penida before the trip and take the basic course with us. It will give you much more freedom, confidence, and enjoyment. If your timing not allow you to come earlier, during the trip we can teach you some basics of freediving but it won't be a proper complete course.
