The underwater world here is a dream come true for freedivers. From vibrant coral gardens to dramatic walls and caves, every dive reveals something new and awe-inspiring. The reefs are teeming with life, offering encounters with everything from tiny nudibranchs to large pelagics.

The archipelago’s strong currents make for exhilarating drift dives, where you can glide effortlessly along colorful reefs and walls. These dives are perfect for experienced freedivers looking for a challenge.

Alor’s marine ecosystem is among the healthiest in Indonesia. Expect to see a wide variety of marine life, including reef sharks, turtles, rays, and an abundance of tropical fish. There’s also a high chance of encountering majestic whales as they migrate through the region.

Beyond the underwater world, Alor offers a rich cultural experience. The local fishing tribes have a deep connection to the sea, and their way of life remains largely unchanged for centuries. You’ll have the opportunity to learn about their traditions and perhaps even witness their unique fishing techniques.

Our trip includes daily freediving excursions to some of the best sites in the archipelago. Each dive will be tailored to the group’s experience level, ensuring everyone gets the most out of their time in the water.

We invite you to discover freediving if you have not tried it before and learn all the basics of freediving in our three-day course.
If you are already a certified freediver you can join us for training or take advanced freedive courses to be better prepared for this unique adventure.

Trip Schedule

Day 1

• Morning flight Denpasar – Kupang
• Check-in to the beachfront hotel
• Visiting Goa Kristal Cave and freediving there
• Stay overnight in Kupang

Day 2

• Morning flight to Alor
• Transfer to Kepa Island
• Check-in to the homestay
• Fun diving on the home reef
• Meeting a beautiful sunset on the beach

Day 3-6

• Morning: yoga and breathing exercises, line training
  session
• Afternoon boat trips: fun diving and exploration of dive
  sites around

Day 7

• Freediving in the caves
• Visiting the Alor Mainland and the unique waterfall with
  thermal water

Day 8

• Full-day boat trip with lunch on the beach

Day 9

• Transfer to Alor Airport
• Flight to Kupang
• Flight to Bali

Booking and Payment

To book the trip we ask you to pay a deposit of IDR 8.000.000. This deposit is non-refundable unless the trip will be canceled from our side. The remaining payment can be made via PayPal, Wise, card or in cash (USD or IDR using the exchange rate on the day of payment).
Full payment is due 14 days before the start of the trip.

Cancellations and Refund

For cancellations by customers, a cancellation fee of IDR 8.000.000 applies. For cancellations 14 days before the start of the trip, we will refund payments above this amount.

To run the trip a minimum number of bookings of 6 customers will be necessary.
Up to 14 days in advance of the start date Freedive Nusa will be able to cancel the trip. In this case, a full refund of all payments will be given to customers.

Itinerary changes

Sailing itineraries and daily programs are subject to change due to weather and sea conditions, availability of safe anchorage, government regulations, and other factors. Every effort will be made to carry out the program as planned. Program changes may take place during the cruise to take advantage of local cultural events, to adapt to sailing conditions, or in response to other factors. Only if the duration of the trip or event is adversely affected shall Freedive Nusa refund the difference between the agreed tour price and the services actually provided.
